Formatting SD card in Windows Phone 8

It may corrupt the SD card if you move it from one device to another. It is happening frequently in my Windows Phone 8. So whenever I switch the SD card an errorcoms up on my phone. Is there any built-in feature that formats the SD card to correct state?

Built-in features are available in Windows phone 8 to format the SD card. But, make sure that you had backed up all the data. Formatting could lead to data loss. Now go to settings of your phone and scroll down to find the phone storage option and then tap on it. Then a graph will be displayed on the screen showing the space on both internal and external storage device. Tap on the SD card to format it. In the next window appeared, tap on the “Format SD card” option. This will begin the process. Then a confirmation window will appears in the phone before the formatting process starts. Just tap on Yes to begin the process. Then wait for the formatting process to complete and then the phone will recognize the SD card. Then you can reconfigure it on your phone.

The windows operating system is intelligent enough to have formatting option for the media involved.

    Tap STORAGE MEDIA,
    select SD CARD,
    tap FÔRMAT,
when it will ask for confirmation, answer YES, and the procees will begin.
It will inform when the process finished.

Do not forget to twke backup if there are files in the SD Card as formatting will destroy all data.
