Getting ‘Unspecified error’ while clicking hyperlink inside a message on Windows Mail in Windows Vista

While I was checking the messages received through Windows Mail in my PC running on Windows Vista using Internet Explorer, I found the hyperlinks added in those messages are not working. Every time I click on that link, it will bring up ‘Unspecified error’ box on the screen. How can I get rid of this issue?

Find out ‘Start’ button from the bottom part of the desktop and make a single press on it. Once you can view the start menu, click the ‘Control Panel’ option visible on it. The ‘Control Panel’ window will pop up on the screen afterwards from which click the ‘Default Programs’ option. After that, you need to associate a program with either file type or protocol. This will bring up a list of protocols on the screen. Go to the bottom part of that list and locate both HTTP and HTTPS protocols. Click on those protocols and set ‘Internet Explorer’ as their default program.

    Hi.
    Follow the below steps:
    >>Go to Control Panel
    >>Default Programs
    >>Associate a file type or protocol with a program.
    >>Then page down to the protocols and find the HTTP and HTTPS protocols and set Internet Explorer as the default.

    Thank you.
