Getting “this command is not available now” message while using speech recognition with Word document on Windows 7

My PC is currently running on Windows 7 and I have enabled speech recognition feature on the system. Whenever I use the commands to select or correct word in a Word document using this feature, I keep getting “this command is not available now” message. In what way can I get rid of this message?

First of all, locate the speech recognition microphone and click on it. Once the speech recognition feature gets enabled, click on the microphone on the right side and then wait for the menu to pop up on the screen. Navigate through the menu and make a single click on ‘Options’ option. The next step required is to enable ‘dictation scratchpad’ option. After that, open the Word application and try to use the speech recognition feature. In case you need to launch the Word before speech recognition, disable the scratchpad. The error message will not pop up on the screen on doing so.

To solve this problem follow these steps

    1. Locate the microphone icon and click on it
    2. Then select the Option in the menu option
    3. Then enable the dictation recognition
    4. Then disable the scratchpad option
    5. Then open the word application
    6. Now try to use the speech recognition feature before that you need to launch the word before speech recognition
