Getting an error “Plugged in but not charging” with other issues in windows 7

I purchased an HP Pavillion G4 laptop from Malaysia last year. Now even though my AC adapter is plugged in and the laptop charges for some time, after a few minutes it displays a message saying “Plugged in but not charging”. Then it returns to charging. When the laptop is fully charged and untouched for four or five days, while switching it on,the battery shows that it’s empty while booting and shows CMOS failure-the data and time settings are reset. Could this be a fault with my laptop battery or the adapter?

The problem could be with your laptop’s battery. The cells inside the battery pack might have expired.Check if your laptop is still under warranty and whether the warranty is global. In that case, you can approach an HP service center. The CMOS failure is the result of a weak CMOS battery. It will have to be replaced, but the laptop will have to be opened and serviced as well.Visiting a technician or service center is recommended.Don’t try to fix this issue yourself by playing with its hardware settings without proper knowledge of laptop circuits and internal configurations.

    Hi friend,

    >>>Here is a problem with your battery

    >>>You need to replace the battery

    >>>Your laptop is not able to auto update time and date because of failure of CMOS battery

    >>>If your laptop is in warrant then go to the service center and ask for replacement

    Thank you
