Getting an error code 0x800106ba in Windows Defender

I am facing this issue from last few days in my windows vista computer. Whenever I tries to run Windows Defender, it flashes an error code 0x800106ba. Is there anyone else who is facing this issue? Do you have any recommendation for getting rid of this error?

Before following the troubleshooting steps, make sure that you don't have any security software products like- Norton, McAfee, AVG, Microsoft Security Essentials because if you are using any of these softwares then they will work after shutting down Windows Defender. If you don't have any such products then click on "start button" and in serach box, type "Services" and hit Enter key. Now a new screen will appear before you. Under an option "Status", you will see "Started" and under "Startup Type", you will see "Automatic". If you are not able to see any options like mentioned above then right click on "Windows Defender" and then click on Properties>>startup Type>>select Automatic at service status and click on Start. Finally click on "Ok" and you are done.

    Dear Friend!!
Right click the computer icon and select "manage".
Select yes if permission is wanted by computer.
double click services and then Locate an service named Windows defender . Right click on Windows defender, and then select Properties on contextual menu.
On the Startup Type dropdown box, select Automatic .
Click on Start button to start the service immediately.
Reboot your computer and see if you are still getting the Windows Defender error message 80016ba.

IF you get the error like that then
Then use the following article to verify that Windows Defenders definitions are up to date.
