Getting an error message "no connection error"

I have recently installed windows 7 32 bit edition on my Computer. I am using a Modem for accessing internet but it gives "no connection error". When i diagnosed,it stated that the drivers for Realtech PCIe FE Family Controller is missing. On opening the device manager,i found that "WAN Miniport PPPOE Protocol" is also not working. What should i do?

Re: Getting an error message "no connection error"

Normally, you get this kind of error when PPPoE(Point-to-Point Protocol over Ethernet) authentication has failed. Make sure that your ISP username and password are correct.Have a look on Network and Sharing Center and make sure that the connection is set to obtain an IP address and DNS server automatically. You can also change the TCP/IP settings. Manual for doing the same has already been provided by microsoft. You an find it at http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/w...CP-IP-settings. If it doesn't fix your issue then try to reinstall the network adapter devices. For doing the same, click on "Start" button, type "devmgmt.msc" in the search box and hit the enter button on your keyboard. It will open the Device manager. Then expand "Network adapter" in device manager, right click on the devices one by one and click on Uninstall option.Once done, restart your computer. It will install all of these drivers automatically.

Re: Getting an error message "no connection error"

    Hello friend,

This types of errors normally due to the internet connection problem.

So you have to check the internet connection.

You should check that whether you have filled right username & password or not.

This type of error comes due to PPP(Point to Point Protocol).

Go to TCP/IP settings and check whether they are correct or not.

Go to network and sharing center and check the IP address and DNS and check whether they establish the network or not.

Try to reinstall the device driver.

I think your problem will be solved.

    Thank u!!
