Getting an Error message "Security service centre can't be started" on Windows Vista Home Premium

I am getting this message on my system, as i have no firewall in my system and using AVG antivirus that is free of cost. I noticed that security service is turned off and i am not able to start it once again. If trying to do that, getting an error message. How to resolve the issue? any help?

    Hello friend...

    This is very simple...

go to start menu and select services and if you find that security service center was disabled..

Then change the status to automatic and then restart the service ..

Then you can find that security service center will run.....

    Hope this may help you...
