Getting an error "Task image is corrupt or has been tampered with 0x80041321" in windows vista

My windows 8 computer is not allowing me to complete monthly backup. During the backup process, it flashes an error message "Task image is corrupt or has been tampered with 0x80041321". I have installed the latest antivirus and scanned the system many times but it doesn't show any issue. What should i do?

It seems that your Task schedular has been corrupted so you will have to recreate the Task Scheduler by making some changes in registry. Please note that registry is very sensitive part of windows OS. A simple mistake from your side can make your computer useless so you must take a backup before proceeding to next step. To fix your issue, click on "Start" button, type "regedit.exe" in the search box and hit enter. It will open the registry editor. Here navigate to HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\Current Version\Schedule key and delete its subkeys.Once done, restart your computer.
