Getting errors with Windows Firewall since upgrading laptop to Windows 7

After upgrading my laptop to Windows 7, I am having trouble with Windows Firewall. It will turn off automatically without any particular reason. When I try to turn it on, I keep getting the error code 0x8007042c in addition to the message saying “Windows firewall can't change some of your settings”. In what way can I get rid of this issue?

Make a single press on the ‘Start’ button and wait until you can view start menu on the screen. Type Services into the start search box available in the start menu. The next step required is to right click on the services icon. You can then view a pop-up menu on the screen. Select ‘Run as Administrator’ option from that menu. After that, make sure that the status of services like windows firewall and windows firewall authorization driver are set as started and their startup type is automatic. You need to also check the dependency services for Windows Firewall is already started by clicking on dependency tab after making a right click on windows firewall service.
