Re: Getting a message 'Unable to Connect' when trying to connect Windows phone on Windows XP

    Hi there,
I have the same issue on Windows 7 (64 bit)... it just pops up with the red x saying no drivers found. I tried to click Update Driver in device manager and search Windows Update, but no change. Doesn't appear as a USB drive or anything, but it is charging.

It shows up in device manager as "RM-820|Nokia Lumia 920"

I think it's a software conflict of some sort, I did a hard reset of the phone and I connected it to a win 7 desktop but again the same thing...
In my experience changing the usb port you use will almost always help , provided you reboot both pc and phone before connecting your phone again ...
    Hope it will help...

    Dear guest,

This problem is generally caused due to certain problems. Well the problem can be anything. the problems that I think are affecting you may be as thus: problem of cord, driver update, cellphone upgradation, corrupt soft ware, corrupt hardware, anything.
1.you may ask for a change of the cord
2.you may try by running a through scan of virus by a trusted antivirus.
3.try by updating the driver software.
4.upgrade your cellphone operating system to the latest upgrade available.
    5. You can visit NOKIA CARE for the upgradation.
    6. Try resetting your phone. You can do that by,
a)press hold the power, low volume, camera keys after switching off your phone.
b)once the phone vibrates release the power but keep holding the other two.
    c)your phone will reset.
7.make sure that you back up all your data.
8.if none of these work then you better visit your service centre.
    Your phone will connect now..

    Thank you...
