To recover this error from your Windows vista, you need to check following services Cryptographic Service, Background Intelligent Transfer Service, Windows Update is running or, not. Then try to install the updates on your windows Vista.

    Follow stepwise procedure:

Step 1: First of all, click on start and open command window
Step 2: Type services.msc and hit Enter
Step 3: Screen will show you a list with services, double click on that service
Step 4: Now, go to the General Tab, and navigate to Startup type(Automatic must be selected)
Step 5: Go to Service status, if service is not running. Click on start and Ok

Now, install the updated for your windows vista. Issue should be resolved now..

    hi,

the message on your computer is self explanatory and you need to take a few steps to correct that. do the following :

At the command prompt, Type "services.msc" , press "Enter".
A list of services Screen will be presented before you, double click on "service",
Select "General", and move to "Startup type", surely Select Automatic.
Approach "Service status", if still not running. Click "start", "Ok".

Always install antivirus in the system for active monitoring.

Always use original copy of Operating System and install with a custom setting so that all services , utilities an features are on while you use the system.

    Thanks.

    Hey friend,

If update service is not running it may be because either you have stopped it you any software or virus stopped it.
So first try to run it manually it can be run by service.msc.

If it is unable to run then you can directly download the latest path for your windows directly from the microsoft website
and run it , it will automatically update your windows.
    thnx
