Getting Outlook 2000 to function on Windows 7

I have installed Outlook 2000 in my PC which runs in Windows 7. But I am unable to send or receive messages. What should be done in such a situation?

    Hi,

As you must be well aware of the fact that the Windows 7 is a modern and recently developed Operating System and outlook 2000, the name speakes for itself, and considering that conflicts are common. But lets try to tweak things for our benefit.

Outlook 2000 in "Internet Only" mode errors on Windows 7, because the "WAB" (Windows Address Book) it uses for its address storage is missing.
Copy the WAB.dll and register or install it in Windows 7, This will fix one error.

    Move to C:\Program Files\Common Files\System on Windows 7 computer,
    copy wab32.dll and wab32res.dll to C:\Windows\System32

Press "Windows key" + R to open "Run",
Register the DLL's by copying the following commands:
First type regsvr32 wab32.dll and press Enter
then repeat with regsvr32 wab32res.dll and enter.

It`s recommend not to do this unless there are some reason why you need Outlook 2000 installed on Windows 7.

    Thanks.
