Getting rid of network connection error 1068 on Windows XP

My PC is currently running on Windows XP with service pack 3. Whenever I try to access internet through it, I will get the error message “network connection error 1068” on it. Is there any way available to fix this error?

Get into the start menu by pressing the ‘Start’ button on the desktop and choose ‘Help and Support’ option. A window will then appear on the screen with lots of green arrows. Click on ‘Use Tools to view your computer information and diagnose problems’ arrow from them. You can then view a menu with a list of tools. Click on the ‘System Configuration Utility’ tool from that list. Press the ‘Services’ tab and turn on all the services which are turned off. Restart the PC after that and check whether the issue gets resolved or not.

The problem you are facing because of dynamic host configuration protocol (DHCP)
reason:One of the below file missing
    AFD
    NetBios over Tcpip
    TCP/IP Protocol Driver

To fix Error 1068 which is known as The dependency service or group failed to start error.

Click Start, Run and type DEVMGMT.MSC
In the View menu, click Show hidden devices
Double-click Non-Plug and Play drivers section
    Double-click the entry AFD,
    and click the Driver tab
Set the Startup type to System.
    Start the service.

follow above steps to check type bold letter in place AFD
    NetBios over Tcpip (NetBT)
    TCP/IP Protocol Drive (Tcpip)

if all are running correctly the error will be solved
if there are some error it shows the error and try to solve it

if still error exists please specify the error

    hope this will help
