    Getting runtime error R6002 while using Transcend external hard drive with Windows XP

    Yesterday, I tried to create back up for the data in my PC running on Windows XP with Transcend external hard drive. But, I used to get runtime error “R6002 - floating point support not loaded message” during the backup process. What should I do to get rid of this error?

    Hello friend...

    First uninstall all the programs that are giving you problems through the control panel.

    Then uninstall all visual C++ Redistributables software using control panel.

    Once you have finished uninstalling the software,install the following:

    ->Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable (X86)

    ->Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable (X86)

    ->Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable (X86)

    Then install their updates through windows update.Then install the software again that you had been having problems with.

    Also stop using the registry cleaners to try to fix problems,they just create more problems.

    Hope this may help you...
