Getting white screen while loading desktop on Windows XP

Whenever I turn on my PC running on Windows XP, a white screen appears instead of desktop. Even though the desktop programs get loaded on the system, only white screen can be seen on it. The desktop does appear for a while on pressing CTRL+ALT+DELETE key. But, it will disappear very quickly before releasing the key. Is there any solution available for this problem?

Whatever situation you are currently experiencing, may have its reason as follows.

You need to scan the system first with an antivirus program before taking any further step.

Right click on an empty space on the desktop, select properties, from the graphic properties select a wallpaper, click apply, click ok.

Observe if anything is happenning ? If the answer is no, then,

Click Start, in the search box type, cmd, press enter.
in the Command Prompt, type sfc /scannow and press enter.
The scanner will scan the entire system for error in system files and if found replace it with fresh one.
Boot again. Things should be normal by now.

    Hello there !!

getting the white screen is the symptoms of the system error.
and the error is basically related to the operating system.

and the error is occurring because you have not made the proper installation
    of your operating system.
either your operating system has not been installed properly or some files were
missed during the installation and due to this you are getting the issue.
and hope do that the missed file was important.

also do check the operating system setup.
whether the operating system too is corrupt or not.
then try to re-install the operating system.

    your issue will be solved.

hope i am clear to you.
    thanks for posting in EALP.
