Google Chrome Browser crashing too much in windows 7

I am very annoyed with the crashing of google chrome browser in windows 7. Actually this browser is the fastest so I am using it. I also have an old laptop where it works fine but it crashes too much in windows 7. Is there any compatibility or some other issue with this browser in windows 7? If not then Is there any way to avoid access crashing problem of google chrome?

It seems like Google chrome is missing some plug-ins - so that it get crash every time.
If you don't have any problem with the loss of your bookmarks & saved pages then you can go for Google chrome uninstalling process.
Go to control panel & click on the "Uninstall a program option".
Now select Google chrome from the list- double click on it to uninstall it.
Go to www.filehippo.com or www.brothersoft.com to download the latest version of Google chrome.
But if you don't want to loose your bookmarks then you can go for direct online upgradation.
Go to the settings in Google chrome & select upgrade option to do that.

But before these make sure that you have a working network connection.

1. may be there is to much of history in you browser first clear your browser history and try.
to clear your history press ctrl + H --> select clear all browsing data --> select the beginning of time --> press clear browsing history

You are very much right about this and many of my friends have the same issue that you have. In fact you will be surprised to know that even in Windows XP also Google Chromes are crashing these days. And if the system has caught virus then this browser is the first one to get damaged. I think with your laptop also there is a virus problem. Since your google chrome is crashing, just mere scanning your entire system with an antivirus will not help. Instead of that you will need to format your C Drive or that particular drive where your operating system resides. Hello, can you try to delete your localstate file? It is located here:

WINDOWS XP: C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Chrome\User Data\
WINDOWS VISTA: C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\


Replace <username> with your username on the computer.

If that doesn't work, can you try this:
chrome.exe --user-data-dir=c:\foo

1. Shut down Google Chrome completely.
2. Locate the User Data folder by going to Start menu > Run. Enter one of the following directories in the text field, then press OK.

Friend iGoogle Chrome is a very good browser and is today mostly used.
I am also using this browser but haven't faced this kind of problem.
your problem me be either due to some virus present in your system. some viruses affect the browsers the most.
if its so then you should first of all scan your pc for viruses.
if this does not works then uninstall the Google Chrome and then download the latest version of it and install it.
If finally this does not work then soory you have to format your pc. this will definately solve your problem.

Well, some files of Goolge chrome may be missing or corrupt. This is the reason behind your problem. To sort out the issue you have to uninstall the current version of chrome form your PC and then download the latest version of chrome from the internet. Now, install it to your PC and hopefully there will be no such problem. Alternatively you can use internet explorer, mozila firefox, apple safari or opera browser. The choice is yours.

This Problems occurs every browser because some soft wares are not installed properly...

and also browser compatibility is not good and the history is not cleared that's why these type of problems occurred.

And Google chrome Mozilla fire fox these browsers are facing same problems for this need to install properly and update all drivers up to date.

To Recover from the above error ........try to follow these instructions

First of all press windows key+R and type appdata and click OK

now double click on LOCAL folder and open the GOOGLE folder

After that double click on CHROME folder..... now delete the USERDATA from the list

After that check if it helps ............and if the same problem exists... simply go to control panel >> PROGRAMS >> PROGRAMS AND FEATURES >> now uninstall the chrome from the list

After that go to run and type regedit and click OK ...now Expand HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE >> Software

And under the Software .. delete the Google folder key from the left pane

And now restart the PC ....and download the latest version chrome from the www.filehippo.com and install it

After that it will be solved

This might happen when the chrome is corrupted and some of the plug-ins of it are missing .

so ,better uninstall the current version of the chrome .

You have to download and install the latest version of "Your Uninstaller" software tool to your system ..

Now open "Your Uninstaller" , it load automatically all the program that installed in to your system.

select Google Chrome from it . and click on Uninstall Application button .

This will remove your program that you want ..

that will remove all registry file related to that program you want to remove from your system .
