    Hi friend,

As the question you have asked is quite interesting.

What i think is YES, you require the same amount of size as that of the directory that you want to back up.

But the backup files would be zipped or compressed, and when you extract them the original size would come out.

Hope i have helped you in getting relevant information.

    All the best

    Thanking you...

The Backup is a very important decision that is taken by the user, possibly the most important.

Backup can be taken in other partition which is smaller but which can hold the compressed files data sufficiently.

Use Windows 7 START> type backup, and the option will be displayed, select it and follow the interactive session to accomplish the intended action.

But always remember, backup is created for safety, and if the Hard Disk fails the installation and the backup will bite the dust togather and there will be no meaning left for backup in the same hard drive. Insted back up in CD/DVD/BLUE RAY/MEMORY CARD etc and store them in another safe place for future debacle management.

    Hello Dear Friend ...

    How about you ???

Download visual basic Script for backing up a folder and all its Sub folders

Extract the file folder bckp_vbs file to run it

    Double click that to run

    Then select the Source folder

Now select the folder where you want to save the Backup

    Then click on OK

A small blank page of IE will appear telling you that FILES ARE BEING COPIED ...

    GOOD LUCK
