    How can I check my processor family in windows 7 ultimate?

    I want to know the family of my processor installed in my desktop with windows 7 ultimate because my desktop in getting slower and I want to upgrade my desktop which is fully compatible with windows 7 ultimate and windows 8.

    its simple its same as how you see in XP.

    go to run

    type the following

    "dxdiag"(without quotes).

    it will ask you for a prompt give yes and a window will appear with all the details


    you can also see that info by right clicking My computer->Properties

    You can check your windows processor's family in the properties of the computer so that it shows all the details of the computer memory and also the files details as well as processor details.So to check those options you can just right click on the my computer icon and then it shows and it will be compatible with windows 8 also and same features and configuration is required for the windows 7 and windows 8.

    Follow this,

    Task Manager>> View>> CPU History>> One Graph per CPU Checked Off.

    This graph Pane area shows the equivalent amount of cores per graph.

    MSConfig> Boot Tab> Advanced Options> "Number Of Processors".

    You can show the correct number in MSConfig Drop Down Box.

    hi!!!!!!!
    very simple all you need to do is follow these steps to know which processor your desktop is using:
    step 1: right click on computer icon on your desktop and then click on properties.
    the whole info of the system appear a s shown below where you will the information about the processor:

    when you get the information accordingly go for the upgrade.
    the minimum requirements would be as follows:

    gigahertz (GHz) or faster 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor

    1 gigabyte (GB) RAM (32-bit) or 2 GB RAM (64-bit)

    16 GB available hard disk space (32-bit) or 20 GB (64-bit)

    DirectX 9 graphics device with WDDM 1.0 or higher driver


    Also if you are getting confused about the 32 bit and 64 bit that information is also displayed in the system properties.
    So based on the processor, RAM and the 32 or 64 bit go for the upgrade.
    These are the minimum requirements and if you go for higher versions that just goes to help you with the perfomance of the system.

    Right click the "My computer" icon. and choose properties, you will be forwarded to a page that contains all the basic details about the device you are using, using the page you can figure out which family of processor you are using.

    First method

    -Select the "My computer" icon from the computer.
    -Right click on the my computer icon.
    -Select "Properties" from it.
    -The screen like this will appear.

    As you are using windows Operating system then you can find your processor
    by following ways:-

    1. On your computer and follow the steps
    2. make a click on Start Menu, Open the Control Panel.
    3. In this window, a list of icons displayed, and one of these icons,
    you will find an icon called "System" in which you double-click it.
    4. The properties are displayed Systems and the first tab is called "General".
    5. On this tab is the name of your processor, its operating frequency type and
    its actual incidence.
    6. Also included in the information below is the total memory RAM installed on
    your computer.
    You can also get it by other different ways, like to go to in prorerty.

    2. open the control pannal.
    3. Click on the System ICON
    4. Click on the general Tab
    5. It will show the configuration of the computer
    6. It also show all the configuration of the computers.

    hello my friend...it is very easy to check your processor family in windows 7.
    Here are the steps..
    1- First click the Start button , clicking Control Panel, clicking System and Maintenance, and then clicking System.


    2-Under System, you can view the processor type and speed, as well as the number of processors installed, if your computer uses multiple processors.

    You can processor family simply by right clicking on My Computer and choosing Properties. Dialog box will be displayed that will contain all information regarding Processor.
    For more information, you can type "dxdiag" in the Search bar of Start button. Open it, it will also display information regarding System.

    Well there are many ways to know the family of the processor that is in-built!

    Some of those methods are,

    1:By checking with directX Diagnostic tool

    2:By command prompt

    3:By typing system information in start up menu

    1:First of all press Windows + r on keyboard for Run

    2:After that type in like this, dxdiag and then press enter

    3:Here in this window you will find all your mother board specifications

    OR

    1:Go to command prompt

    2:Type in command prompt like this, systeminfo

    3:And then, press enter

    OR

    1:Go to, start menu

    2:Type in like this, System information

    3:Select system information from that

    4:Then a window with all your system specification will shown!

    That's it. These are the some methods to show system information!

    1.Press "Windows key+Pause Break" will show your basic information about your computer and processor which it be running
    otherwise
    1."Windows key+R" to go to run command
    2.Type dxdiag
    3.Click OK
