the best way to do is clean your browser cache memeory as it contains the maximum unwanted files and eats up the most space and still you don't want to take any chance then use tune up utilities,it is really good software,it will automatically check the unnecessary files and remove it.

You can delete unnecessary files and folders from your PC, just by using Disk Cleanup Wizard.
Right click on the C: drive, a dialog box will appear, now choose Disk Cleanup.
Disk cleanup wizard will be open, from here you can delete unnecessary files.

In start menu search box type " %TEMP% " , then a new window opens which contains mostly unnecessary files and folders(or temporary files) . Select all the files and delete them all , the which could not be deleted press the skip button for them .
Again open start menu and in the search box type " prefetch " to remove all the unnecessary files belonging to the downloaded files .
The simplest way is download CCleaner from www.filehippo.com and install it in your computer and then run it to clean your computer from unwanted things

    • In the Drives list, click the hard disk drive that you want to clean up, and then clickOK.

Re: How can I delete unnecessary files (external) using windows 7 ultimate?

    """"DEAR"""

As you use your computer for daily activities such as installing programs, browsing the Internet or deleting files, your computer accumulates unnecessary files that are stored on your hard drive. These files are temporary Internet files, installation files or unneeded system files. According to Microsoft, the Disk Cleanup tool included in Windows operating systems is used to remove these temporary files to reclaim disk space occupied by these unnecessary items. The Disk Cleanup tool simplifies the process of removing these unnecessary Windows files.

1.Open the Windows “Start” menu and click “All Programs” to view the programs available on your computer. Click “Accessories” and select “System Tools.”

2.Click “Disk Cleanup” to launch the Windows Disk Cleanup tool. If there is more than one user account on your computer, choose whether you want to clean up files for the current account, or files for all accounts on the computer.

3.Select the hard drive you want to clean with the Disk Cleanup tool. This option allows you to use the Disk Cleanup tool for hard drives other than the one your operating system is installed on, such as connected external storage hard drives.

4.Click the “Disk Cleanup” tab to view the types of temporary files and system files the Disk Cleanup tool can remove. Click to place a check mark next to each item you want to remove. The most common unneeded files are temporary Internet files, items in the Recycle Bin, Setup Log files and temporary files. Click “OK.” Click “Yes” or “Delete Files” to confirm the deletion.

Re: How can I delete unnecessary files (external) using windows 7 ultimate?

    Hello friend...........

It is very easy to delete unnecessary files using Windows 7 Ultimate

As you use your computer for daily activities such as installing programs, browsing the Internet or deleting files, your computer accumulates unnecessary files that are stored on your hard drive. These files are temporary Internet files, installation files or unneeded system files. According to Microsoft, the Disk clean up tool included in Windows operating systems is used to remove these temporary files to reclaim disk space occupied by these unnecessary items. The Disk cleanup tool simplifies the process of removing these Windows Windows files.

    All the best............

Dear friendTo make a pc run fast and quick, you must clean temporary, junk and unnecessory files from your pc.To do so, either you could do it manually or you can use utilities. Doing it manually it is tiresome and messy so I would advise you to use a software named CCleaner.Just analyse and then run cleaner it will automatically clean junk files from your pc and you would see it working much faster.Thanx for asking.
