drivers typically download as an exe or zip file

when a driver downloads as an exe file you simply need to double click on the exe file and it downloads the file for you

but if the file is in ZIP file. Extract the contents and save to a folder on your desktop. open the file in the folder and see if there is any .EXE file, if you see it, double click it.

But if the top level of the folder does not include the setup .EXE file, then:
    # Open device manager. right click the device you want to install. select update driver

    # click no, not this time then Next

    # click install from a list or specific location and Next

    # check include this location in search then browse to the folder you saved on desktop then Next

    # if the windows thinks the driver in the folder is a match for the device you selected, it will install it. reboot and let the download be complete

once the driver installation is complete you can delete the folder on your desktop

All the drivers of the windows 7 are supported by the system but also it is very easy to get the data downloaded from the internet so that it can be developed with out any .exe files and the .inf files are also used in the windows7 OS and to install them in your computer then you must have good OS installed in your computer.

.inf is a file extension that cannot be installed. that is a information file contains text content.
It is a information file that can be used to install drivers and software packages of the windows.
You can download your wi-fi driver from the websites.
You cannot execute the inf files.
