    How to change my Windows 7 logon screen in my PC?

    I want to set my own background as the Windows 7 logon screen, Is it possible to do that? Can you tell me how to do that?

    Yes, it is possible to change the windows 7 logon screen, you just have to do a simple registry tweak with the following simple steps,

    STEP 1: Open Run command by pressing Windows key + R and type regedit -> Press Enter.

    STEP 2: Now navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Authentication\LogonUI\Background

    STEP 3: Double click on the entry OEMBackground and change the DWord value to “1” if the entry is not there then create a new DWord by right click -> New.

    STEP 4: Now navigate to the folder %windir%\system32\oobe and create a new folder there named as “info”

    STEP 5: Now create again a new folder inside info folder as “backgrounds”

    STEP 6: Rename your desired wallpaper as “backgroundDefault.jpg” and put it inside the backgrounds folder.

    Now lock your system or reboot your system to see the change.

    1. open the windows start menu and type regedit

    2. right click on HIKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE and select FIND

    3. search for OEMBackground which should be in Computer\HIKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Wi ndows\CurrentVerssion\Authentication\LogonUI\Backg ro if the key does not exist add a new DWORD value with the name OEMBackground

    4. DOUBLE CLICK ON THE OEMBackground and change the value from 0 to 1

    5. open windows explorer and go to the following path: %windir%\system32\oobe

    6. create a now folder named INFO and open it

    7. create a new folder within and name it background

    8. rename your desired wallpaper backgrouddefault.jp and place it inside the folder backgrounds

    log off or reeboot and enjoy

    hello friend,

    To change the window 7 log on scree first you have to modify the registry and follows the steps:

    Step 1: open the window start menu then enter the regedit in to search bar

    step 2: right click of the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE and select find.

    Step 3: Search for the OEMbackground which should be in my computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\win dow\current version\Authentication\log on UI \Background

    step 4: double click on the OEMbackground and change the value 0 to 1.

    step 5: open the window explore then go to the path %windir%\system32\oobe.

    step 6: create the new folder name info and open it.

    step 7: crate the new name in to info and names background.

    step 8:rename your desired wallpapers as backgroungdefault.jpg and then placed in the folder backgrounds

    You can change your windows 7 log on screen in the system by selecting the software of windows 7 log on background changer so that if you install it in your computer then you can easily change the log on screen of your computer and also the picture can be selected on the screen as your wish by using this software and it is very useful type of software used in the windows.

    Friend, follow these Steps:

    STEP 1: Download Windows 7 Logon Back ground Changer, Clicking HERE

    STEP 2: Extract and Run '.exe' File.

    STEP 3: Click on "Run" in the Open File - Security Warning Dialog Box.

    STEP 4: Click on "Choose a Folder" Button on the Right Top Corner.

    STEP 6: Select the image you want to use in the top row of the program. It displays in the main Window of the Program. Click on the "Apply" button.

    hello ,U want to change ur windows 7 logon screen.just download a software witch called:Windows Boot Changer
    • After download this software run it
    • now select Booting
    • now select file and browse the animation or b7 file(download from web)
    • now see ue screen by clicking play
    • to set this as ur boot screen click apply

    Follow these simple steps to make it possible yar,
    • Hit on Start and type regedit in search bar.
    • Now right-click on HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE and select Find.
    • Search OEMBackground which will be in this path HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Authentication\LogonUI.
    • NOw double-click on OEMBackground.
    • Change the value from 0 to 1.
    • Hit Windows Explorer and go to this path %windir%\system32\oobe.
    • Create a new folder as info and create another folder inside info and name it as backgrounds.
    • Rename the wallpaper that you gonna use as backgroundDefault.jpg and save it in the background folder that you created now.
    • Note the that the image size must be less than 245Kb.

    hi my dear friend...to change the logon screen follow this


    first press windows key + r and type in that regedit and press enter

    then in that choose teh HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE

    then software>microsoft>windows>current version> authentication> logon UI> background

    after the double click on the OEMbackground from the right pane select the value as 1

    then close the window ...and go to my computer and open the os installed drive and open windows folder


    then open the system 32 folder

    then choose the oobe folder

    then there you find the info folder and open it

    then there you make a new folder with the name as backgrounds

    then copy the Jpg pic or any image file ...as you like and paste it in the backgrounds folder

    and rename it as backgroundDefault then reboot your system ............and see ........


    NOTE: And the chosen file should be jpg formate and the size should be in below 245KB...............ALL THE BEST
