At first, get into the start menu by clicking the ‘Start’ button at the bottom left part of the desktop.Locate the ‘Control Panel’ option from that menu and click on it. Wait until you can view ‘Control Panel’ window on the screen. Then, make a single click on ‘Appearance and Themes’ option and select ‘Display’ option. After that, press the ‘Settings’ tab and hit the ‘Advanced’ button. The next step required is to click the ‘Monitor’ tab for bringing up the ‘Refresh Frequency’ list. Navigate through that list after that and select a new refresh rate with a single click.

There should be options which you can explore in order to adjust Refresh Rate of monitor.

Click START, select CONTROL PANEL, click APPEARENCE AND THEME, then DISPLAY,
Click SETTINGS, next select ADVANCED, and then MONITOR,
Here you will see many options related to monitor, select REFRESH RATE of your choice and of course, which the monitor supports, set it,

Exit, Reboot, and things will be done.

    hii...
Its simple.. You can either open this adress Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Display\Screen Resolution
or simply right click on desktop and select "screen resolution".
    After that click Advance settings.
A box will open up.A lot of options will be there and you have to click Monitor.
In a drop down list, you can select the refresh frequency like 85 hz, 60 hz etc..

    Hello there !!!

yes you can change the refresh rate of your monitor screen.
but let me tell you that changing the refresh rate might leads to some unwanted problem in the working of your pc, if not properly
    configured.
since these are the very sensitive settings that your monitor have.

so for changing the refresh rate do follow the steps given:-

    1. go to control panel.
    2. go to display and settings.
    3. go to advance option
    4. go to monitor tab.
    5. here you will see >> change refresh rate of your monitor.

just change it as seems convenient by you.

hope i am clear to you.
    thanks for posting in EALP.
