    How to change system icons in windows XP in Dell notebook?

    I would like to know the options to change system icons in windows XP in Dell notebook. How can I do that?

    • Right tap on desktop and on ‘Properties’
    • Tap on desktop tab in Display Properties dialog box
    • Then choose the option ‘Customize Desktop’
    • Click on the specific icon in General tab and on ‘Change Icon’
    • Tap on Browse button and choose the folder to save
    • Tap on View Menu button and on ‘Thumbnails’
    • Tap on the specific icon you would like to use and tap on ‘ok’ three times

    To you can change the icons of folder by following these steps:
    ►Firstly Go to folder that you want to change the icon.
    ►Then right click on Folder and click on properties,
    ►Tap on Customize and Click on Change icons,now select the desired icon and click ok

    Hey friend,
    If you wants to change any of your system icon then you can use following steps:-

    -first go to the the Icon.
    -Right click on the ICON and go to properties.
    -Then select the customize tab from there.
    -In customize tab select the change icon option from the bottom.
    Now you can select any of the icon according to your choice and save the settings by pressing ok.
    Hope this will help you to change your system icons.

    Steps to change system icons in windows XP in Dell notebook:

    First open the window start and select the my computer on notebook.Once it open it you have to see the System Properties option over upper panel in it and select it and open .Then tap the Display option and select the Customize Desktop .Under it select the icon and press the Change icon option in it.As it is you have to change the icon.If you have the icon pack the select the browse option in it and select the icon folder and choose the icon from it.Then apply and save

    hi dear friend....... to change the system Icons ....




    first choose Icon .......on which icon you want to change


    then press the alt+ENTER combination from the keyboard


    then a window will be displayed ....then choose the customize TAB


    then click on the change Icon option which is located at the bottom of the same window


    then another small window will be displayed with the different images


    then choose One Icon from the suggested list and click OK


    then click on apply ...............and click ok button to change your Icon............ALL THE BEST

    If you want to know that how to change system icons in windows Xp in Dell notebook...So you just see my easy and simple steps....An then try it yourself.....
    Let's have a look.....

    First of all go and on the computer and then right click on the desktop ..And then select the properties option and click on it Know Tap on desktop tab in Display Properties dialog box..After that choose the option ‘Customize Desktop’...Now Click on the specific icon in General tab and on ‘Change Icon’..And then Tap on Browse button and choose the folder to save...Now at the end just Tap on View Menu button and on ‘Thumbnails’...And then Tap on the specific icon you would like to use and tap on ‘ok’ three times..You are successfully done your issues...

    You want to know How to change system icons in windows XP in Dell notebook?

    To change the Icon you have to follow the below steps

    Right Click on to your file or Folder that you want to change icon .

    Select Property .

    Then Goto Customize tab ,

    select Change icon Button ,

    Select Icon that you want .

    Click on Ok .

    dear friend please use as the following to solve your problem


    first of all right click on the desktop and on the properties and click on the display properties dialog box.

    then choose the option customize desktop .


    now click on the specific icon in general tab and change icon

    tap on the browser button and choose the folder to save .

    now click on the view menu button and on thumbnail and now make the click on the specific icon you woould like to use and tap on the OK for the 3 time

    Hello friend,


    I have the solution for your problem just do as i say..................................

    1.Firstly go to the desktop.

    2.Make a right click on the desktop and then click on 'Properties'.

    3.Then you click on the option 'Customize'.

    4.And then click on the option 'Change Icon' and then select the icon which you want.

    5.At last save the changes if you wan to change the icon of the any folder then make a right click on it and then click on 'Properties'.

    6.Then click on 'Customize' and then click on 'Change Icon' and then select the icon which you want.

    I hope by doing as i said you can solve your problem.

    To change the system icons follow these steps

    • Go to the home screen right click on the empty space
    • Then choose the Properties from the menu
    • Now select the Desktop by clicking on it
    • Then choose the option Customize desktop
    • Then select general tab then click on the desired icon
    • Now choose the option Change icon
    • Then browse for the icon which you want to set
    • Then click on Ok to change the specific icon.

    For this you have to follow the below steps to Change the System Icon on windows XP :


    <> First thing you have to do is Right click on the "Free Space " on the Desktop

    <> There you can click on the " Properties or Personalize " option

    <> For this you have to type " Change Desktop Icons "

    <> It will open a window having "Change Icon "

    <> Then you can click on the " Selected one "


    After that you can browse or select the Thumbnail and Tap on "OK "

    Regarding this query..

    you can open your system with administrator user..
    right click the folder..
    choose properties..
    then select customize tab option..
    under choose change icons..
    it display several new icon images, then choose needed one...
    then press apply and OK..
