I thing it is hardware problem. So you can not solve this by your self.
Mane reason of this problem may be that your laptop fan does not work
    properly.
As Fan is the device in your laptop that cold the heat generated in your
laptop. So you should go to service center they will solve your problem.

One thing more that you are using windows 7 so it is very efficient OS
and release many lase heat with respect to there previous version.

The over heating of laptop may happen sometimes with over use of youe laptop with out keeping it shutdown and keeping it always on so you can reduce your over heating of laptop with providing the cool temperature and also by keeping it in power saving mode and also you should keep it at rest for sometime making it's power off so that this problem can be solved.

If your laptop becomes overheated, check whether air vents are properly getting fresh air or not.
Don't put your laptop on soft things like cloth, pillow, bed, etc. Fresh Air will not be able to pass.
Make sure that battery is not too old. If it is very old, replace it immediately. It can damage your laptop.
Even then, if problem is not solved, contact your dealer about this problem, he will show the right way.

Your room temperature should be average to avoid over heating of PC.
Your PC's fans should work to cool the Laptop.
Check your LAPTOPS ventilation should not be blocked.

Please check if their is so much of ventilation for the laptop and check ventilation is blocked or not. Dust particles can block the ventilation. And dont keep laptop on bed or on lap because bottom ventilation will be blocked.. And check if the fan is running perfectly or not.. You can also add extra portable fan for laptop it decreases the heats

To save your laptop from overheating try the following

    > Put your laptop on a coolant

    > Close unnecessary processes that uses more RAM and CPU usage

    > If you are running a heavy program close all other tasks and then perform it

    > Keep your windows update On

    > Keep you drives of hardware up to date

    THANKS!!

    Hello,

Laptop overheating is a very common problem.

    To prevent it

You can use a colant pad to keep your laptop cool.

Also try to install nly the rewuired applications on it.

Close all the uneccesary applications running on it.

Try to install an anti virus which keeps your system protected , because sometimes virus makes your computer run under lot of load.

Disk defragmentation is also one of the things t do.

Re: How to control over heating of laptop having windows 7 ultimate installed on it?

    HELLO GUEST

The first and most important thing you need to do when your laptop is overheating, is to clean the fan/s that provide/s cooling to the CPU and graphics card.
Over time they build up layers of dust and dirt that slow them down and block flow of air. Consult your laptop’s manual or manufacturer to find out how you can open the laptop to access and clean these parts.

Before you attempt to do any cleaning, however, follow these steps:
    § shut down the computer.
    § remove the battery.
    § unplug the power strip.
    § ground yourself.

Carefully clean the fan/s with a cotton swab dipped in a drop of alcohol. You can also use a vacuum cleaner to remove the dust and dirt that clocks up the fan/s. To prevent damage to the fan, do not let it revolve in the wrong direction. If you want to use canned air to clean the fan, arrest the fan by holding it down.

I hope this can fix the over heating issue.

Thanks and happy to help you.
Enjoy and have a good day
    Regards Libin
