How to disable Microsoft Messenger service on HP Windows desktop?

Earlier I have enabled Microsoft Messenger service on my HP Windows desktop but now I feel that it was not that necessary and would like to disable it. What has to be done for disabling the option?

From the start menu of your system, you have to enter into the ‘Control Panel’ section. Then you have to hit on the ‘Administrative Tools’ option in order to continue. After that the option labeled ‘Services’ has to be chosen. Followed by that, you will have to tap on the option with the label ‘Messenger’. Then you must hit on the option named ‘Messenger Properties’ on the screen. Next thing you are supposed to do is to hit on the ‘Startup Type’ option. The ‘stop’ option on the page needs to be chosen then. Finally you must hit on the ‘Apply’ button to apply the changes.

    Hi.
    Follow the below steps:
    >>Go to Start>Control Panel>Performance and Maintenance>Administrative Tools.
    >>Double-click Services.
    >>In the Services panel, select Messenger.
    >>Right-click and select Stop to turn off Messenger.
    >>Right-click and select Properties. (You can also simply double-click Messenger).
    >>From the Startup Type drop-down list, select Disabled.
    >>Click OK.

    Thank you.
