    How to fix the Error message 'ActiveSync encountered a problem on the desktop' for Windows phone 6.5?

    I am using windows phone Device Center 6.1 in my system and if trying to connect phone with PC then getting an error for sync that is ActiveSync encountered a problem on the desktop. What does it mean? How can i resolve the issue? Any help!

    Hello friend...

    Deleting the partnership in ActiveSync should fix that.
    Open activesync on your pc->click file -> delete mobile device. Reconnect your wizard.

    Do you still have any partnership on your device or even activesync on your pc,

    then try removing the items to sync and connect your device and see if it syncs.If it does then add the items one by one with a sync between each.

    It may be that your getting this error because of an issue with either your calender,contacts or tasks.

    Make sure that you disable any firewall or anti virus software...
