How to fix the Windows Logon problem of "Fatal System Error"?

I don’t know what happened recently I am getting this blue screen error which says “STOP: C000021a (Fatal System Error) - The Windows Logon Process System process terminated unexpectedly with a status of 0xC00001d (0x0000000 0x00000000)” and then the system shuts down. What to do? How to fix this problem?

    Hi,

As you have received the dreaded message meaning and activity of which you are well aware of.

Boot in "SAFE MODE", by pressing F8 just after the power switch turned on and LED`s are blinked one to POST, press F8 for a number of time.

If the Safe Mode booting succeeds then possibly next normal booting will happen, but if Safe Mode booting also fails then insert windows installer CD in the drive and boot from that, it will offer you the option to "REPAIR" the damage. Follow the instruction and provide necessary inputs for completing the process.
Once complete run windows in normal mode. If problem still persists, Go for a Clean Installation. I`m not sure about back up as the system now is as good as dead and backing up if already not done isn`t possible.

    Thanks.
