How to get back my Video Card driver in Windows XP if I uninstalled it by mistake?

I have WIndows XP in my PC and recently by mistake I have uninstalled the Video Card driver so everything looks blurry now. I donít have the drivers CD with me. So how to get back the Video Card driver again? Can you please tell me the steps to follow? Is it a better option to move to Windows 7 OS? I heard that it doesnít need any Video or Audio drivers? Is that true? Can you please suggest me what should I do now?

    Hiiiiiiiii
Yes Windows 7 doesn't need any additional drivers, while Installing OS only all the audio drivers and other drivers like Ethernet drivers are installed, but if you want to play games then for some games you need to install drivers and without those drivers games runs little slow.and in windows 7 the visual graphics are very improved compared to windows xp.
As you have said you have lost your drivers CD,you can also download the drivers from internet if you are aware with your motherboard name and its version.and also if you have Additional graphic card in this case also you need to install graphic drivers.
    Thank You

    hello friend,
yes for windows 7 its not necessary any video card drivers to be installed separately
but they is chance of necessary of audio drivers so, u can download them independently from net
actually moving to windows 7 it will take time again u need to format and install all other drivers again lots of time will be wasted
Its better your currently using windows xp so simply download your video drivers from net according to your video card driver model from net so it will be very efficient

Hi,loosing display driver is a big deal, it will render you helpless, cant see things clearly, cant control finer sides, but there is hope.Do access the net and log into Microsoft site and download a copy of the Video Driver from the site, and install it. Anyway do you have the authentication number for Windows? it will be needed. If you are using a seperate visual card then log into that cards manufacturers site and provide there the card identity and you will get the latest compatible driver from that site. Install the driver.Windows 7 is a big leap from previous Windows and yes, you will not lose sleep over loosing driver file for any peripheral, as Windows 7 itself provide everything. So a upgrade is always welcome.Thank you.
