How to increase monitorís refresh rate in Windows 7?

I have switched to Windows 7 recently. In settings, the option given for refresh rate is only 60 hertz. Is there any way to increase this rate?

    Hi,

The Monitors refresh rate is provided by the manufacturers and set by Windows Operating System.

You have a graphic card installed or onboard graphics chip which is possibly manufactured by Intel or any other manufacturer of repute, who possibly provided an option of controlling graphic characters .

Incase of Intel graphic controllers finfd on the taskbar the Intel HD graphics control center, click it and you will find a variety of options in which there is a refresh rate button and notification on the set refresh rate. Click to change, and click ok to confirm.

    Thanks.
