Once you open the mail, click on the ‘Tools’ option. This will bring up a menu from which locate the ‘Options’ option. You can find a window on clicking that option. Find out ‘General’ tab from that window and make a single press on it. The next step required is to locate the ‘Automatically display folders with unread messages’ label. Clear the check box next to this label by clicking on it. After that, make certain that all messages in the account are marked already read.

    Hi friend,

The following is the procedure for solving the problem of preventing Windows Mail from expanding sub folders in the account.

At first you have to go to the application of mail.

Then tap on to the tools option.

    Now press the options option.

There the option of 'general' is to be selected.

After that the box which is present next to the 'automatically display folders with unread messages' option is to be unchecked.

    Thanks.
