How to prevent Windows XP from loading MSN home page while logging out from e-mail?

Whenever I sign out from my e-mail account through my PC running on Windows XP, the MSN home page will load on it. As downloads are limited, I donít want to waste the usage. What should I do to prevent this?

Open Internet Explorer on your system and press the Alt + T keys. This will bring up the Internet Explorer settings on the screen. Go through those settings and hit the ‘Internet Options’ option. You can then find ‘Internet Options’ window on the screen. Navigate through that window and press the ‘General’ tab. Locate the ‘Browsing history’ label from the settings listed on the screen afterwards. You can find ‘Delete browsing history on exit’ option under that label along with a check box. Click that checkbox until a tick mark appears on it. After that, press the ‘OK’ button and check for the issue.

    Hi,

To stop "MSN" from being loaded, do take the following action.

    Open INTERNET EXPLORER.
    Click TOOLS.
    Select INTERNET OPTIONS.
In General ther will be "TO CREATE HOME PAGE TABS, TYPE EACH ADDRESS......", in that option select "USE BLANK".
In the next option, click "CLEAR HISTORY" to clear browsing history and cookies alongwith temporary downloaded files.
    Exit.
On next booting the problem should be over.

    Thanks.

    Dear Friend,
If you have MSN id then their is no way to stop your MSN home page loading. Now a days if you are using your own laptop or pc to check your email ID then no need to sign out. As you say you are not in unlimited plan so better not to sign out. If you sign out data will be lose (1. sign out confirmation page, or msn page whatever, and again when you sign in this sign in page) so better not to sign out in personal computer if you really want to save you data usage.

If you do not have MSN id
    1. Then go to setting/wrench icon(in google chrome)
    2. Then go to general
    3. then change your home page to blank.
    4. Then click on apply and ok.
    Problem will be fixed.
