    How to protect the excel sheet of Microsoft office 2007 with a password?

    Hi friends I want to protect my excel book with a password so no one can open it without having the appropriate password to avoid changes in my account and improve security.

    Friend, follow these steps:

    1) Click "Review" tab on the top of the document and Click "Protect Worksheet" or "Protect Workbook".

    2) Then, a Window opens which provides you the facility of enable Password for a single user or multiple users of your Work Space.

    3) If multiple users are using the Document, you protect your area of the Document.

    Procedure to protect the excel sheet of Microsoft 2007 with a password :​ If you want to protect the excel sheet of Microsoft 2007 then you have to sharing excel files with other means that the files not return to you.

    In Excel sheet of Microsoft 2007 you have to open a files by clicking on a review tab and click on Protect sheet button in the change section.

    Then by default you have to choose option that is Select Locked Cell and after that Check Unlocked cell.

    This mean that if worksheet is protected then Excel file will still be able to select copy ,paste and you have to enter password again for unprotect sheet box and click on OK button.

    If you click on OK button then excel sheet ask for confirmation of password and gives some warning after finishing all processes then click on OK finally.

    hi!!!!
    very simple...follow these steps:
    step 1: open the excel sheet you want to protect.

    step 2: go to microsoft office button the left top corner and click on 'prepare' and then on 'encrypt document'

    step 3: type the password you want to keep and press ok.

    step 4: you will be asked to type the password again i.e reenter it.do it and press ok.
    you have password protected your document..)))))))))))))

    Thats agood question if someones to secure the confidential data in excel sheet

    click review on the top of the sheet

    click on protect worksheet

    A window will up ans will ask you to enter password to protct the sheet

    you have to enter your desired password so that only you can open or edit the sheet

    To set password for excel sheet, first enter your data .
    After this , proceed for "save". While entering filename, you will see "Tools" drop down menu just below Save as type option.
    Select General Option from "Tools" , now provide password to open & to modify the sheet.
    This method is for MS 2007 , older versions may have different method for lock.

    you can protect excel sheet of ms office 2007 with a pass word.
    1.click the ms office button, click save As, and on the bottom of the save as dialog, click tools
    2.on the tools menu, click "general options" the general options dialog opens
    3. under file sharing, in the password to modify box, type a password
    4.in the conform password dialog, re-type the password click Ok
    5. then click save..

    It a easy problem.
    go to excel "review" tab >(choose ) protect sheet or protect workbook.
    Than it will open option for password . Type your password and solve your problem.

    Yes it is possible to protect excel sheet by following the procedure
    ~~> Open excel sheet
    ~~> Work on it
    ~~> Before closing Click on Office button

    ~~> Type Password
    ~~> Re-enter password
    ~~> Click ok and save it
    Now your excel file is protected with password

    Yes you can protect the excel Sheet Of Microsoft office 2007 with a password..for that you have to share excel files with other that should not be return back again..In that you need to open files by clicking on review tab and click on protect sheet in the change section....then choose the select Locked cell and the check unlocked cell..here you can protect the Excel sheet files and the copy and paste and the enter password again for unprotect sheet and click 'OK' then after that it will ask conformation and then warning the last 'OK'.

    Hello friend...

    To Protect the excel sheet follow these steps:-


    Open the excel and click the "Office" button and select the "Prepare." list of options will appear.

    Click the "Encrypt Document."

    Type any password of your choosing into the "Password" text box. then click "OK."

    Retype the password in the confirmation Password window appears click "OK"



    Save your password-protected Excel file.

    >> you will see where to save box .

    >> under that you have option called " tool " button.

    >> under that general option is there just go to it.
