    Hi,

If Internet Explorer is not responsive it is possibly due to non compatibility or a damaged installation.

First Uninstall the IE8 by :

CONTROL PANEL > ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS > UNINSTALL the Internet Explorer 8.

Exit and next logging into Microsoft website, download a fresh copy of Internet Explorer 8 and install it again.

    This should solve your problem.

    Thanks.

    Hello friend,

I have the solution for your problem just do as i say..........

This type of problem occurs when the internet explorer files have been
deleted accidentally. So try to uninstall that software and install that again.

To uninstall the Internet Explorer from your computer do as i say.

    Go to the 'Control Panel'.

Then go to the 'Add or remove Programs'.

    There only uninstall the software.

If you cannot able to resolve your problem try to upgrade your internet explorer
so you may fix your problem. If upgrading is not possible try to install the upgraded
    version of the internet explorer.

    Have a nice day.........

Re: How to resolve the issue of Internet Explorer stops responding in Windows XP?

You can solve your problem very simply either by uninstalling again or by updating the new version of Internet Explore.

One important thing to be remembered id that every time when ever there is need for updation of a software or any application then it must be done compulsory otherwise there may be some problem with the older versions as you mentioned such types of problems may occur.

So, finally i would like to suggest you to just update the version to existing version then your problem will be solved rather than uninstalling completely and reinstalling again.

Re: How to resolve the issue of Internet Explorer stops responding in Windows XP?

As this is on a regular basis for the past three months , so the problem is njot temporarily as in the most cases . So I advice you to do the following :

First , try to check for the solution of the problem . For this do the following thing :
    1) Click on Start Button and then select control panel a new window will emerge .
    2) In that in the search box enter " Troubleshooter " and in the search results click on the link " Troubleshooting "
    3) Then select the link programs and after that select " Internet Explorer " .

This may help in finding a solution .

Now , If your IE stops responding on regular basis than the common causes include the presence of a spyware software , an add-on that emerges during browsing certain infected websites , a virus that may have entered your PC or some of your IE installed files may be corrupted or deleted .
So , the Second way is :

    1) Scan your computer and remove all those infected files if there .
    2) Disable all unwanted add-on , if installed in your browser .
    2) Download again the IE8 from the internet , you can have it in www.filehippo.com , and try to re - install it .

I'm sure this will help you to again browse through your internet Explorer .
