You can make any of the programs to run in the latest version of Windows. Expecting it to work 100% is not the good one. But, it helps in most of it. Type “Program Compatibility” in the Search Box from Start. Click “Run Programs made for Previous Versions”. This Wizard opens and you can select Programs which you want. Right Click on it and you can know the Previous Version for which it has worked. It takes a little bit browsing in the disk and later gives you the version for which it has worked. By following this, you can know the version of Windows used for running it and can be used for Latest Version or not in easy steps.

running in compatibility mode is sometime not a good idea but you can run the program in previous version of windows by Right clicking on the executable file of the program and then go to properties now on the compatible tab you will see more options like Run this Program in compatibility mode for...., or run in 256 color, or run in low resolution etc

    Hi,

Most of the programs which originates in the recent past dont have to bother about compatibility, as the developers of new versions of OS design their program with Backward Compatibility in mind, which enables those older programs to run in newer OSs without a glitch. But if the programs are too old then some options are provided by Windows that can be used keeping in mind that success is not assured.

Click Start , right click on the program you need to run in compatible mode, you will see Properties, click on it and the next menu will give you the option of Compatibility click it and select to your choice.

    Thanks.
