How to search items on multiple hard disks in Windows 8?

While I was using Windows 7 with my PC, it was possible to search more than one hard drive. But after upgrading it to Windows 8, my system can search items in only C drive. What steps should I take to extend the search to multiple hard drives?

Swipe the bottom right edge of the desktop so that the charm bar will pop up over there. You can also bring up the charm bar by pressing Ctrl key + C. Locate the ‘Settings’ option from that bar and click on it. Select ‘Control Panel’ from the settings menu and click the ‘Indexing options’ option. The next step required is to click the ‘Modify’ option. Then, hit the ‘add HD’s’ option available on the screen. You can then choose the hard drives into which you want to search. After that, press the ‘OK’ button to save the changes.
