    How to set Notepad as default text editor in Dell notebook with Windows 7 OS?

    I wish to set Notepad as default text editor in my Dell notebook with Windows 7 OS. What steps are to be carried out for setting the same?

    >> Start Your PC Than Select Any Files Like .txt Extension File
    >> Than Right Click On The File
    >> Than Select The Open With Than Open Windows Is Open
    >> So Select The Notepad On The List And Click On The OK

    HELLO FRIEND,


    Method one
    (steps 1-2 required if USER ACCOUNT is enabled)



    1. Launch Notepad++ by right clicking the Shortcut and select Run As Administrator
    2. Say Yes to Do you want to allow this program to make changes to your computer
    3. Click Settings -> Preferences -> File Associations
    4. Highlight Notepad, highlight Text, highlight .TXT
    5. Click the arrow to register the extension with Notepad ++
    6. Close Notepad++ and test opening a text file

    Method two


    1. Control Panels -> Default Programs
    2. Associate a file or Program
    3. Hightlight .txt in the Name Column
    4. Click Change Program
    5. Browse to: C:\Program Files (x86)\Notepad++ on 64bit systems
    6. Browse to: C:\Program Files \Notepad++ on 32bit systems, or on 64bit systems if Notepad++ goes 64bit
    7. Double click notepad++
    8. Confirm Always use the selected program… is checked
    9. Click OK and test
    10. All .txt files will now open with Notepad++ (or program of your choosing)

    Follow Below steps to set Notepad as default text editor in your Dell notebook :-

    >>Go to Text file Located in Your Hard disks.

    >>Do right click on Text file.

    >>an dialog box will be open.
    in dialog box,Go to

    open with >>Choose default Program.

    >>After choosing Default program,An user interface box will be open.
    in which Recommended programs and other programs will shown .
    choose notepad,if Notepad not shown in Interface Box then Browse and locate Notepad.

    >>After choosing Notepad programs,
    don't forget to check "Always use the selected program to open this kind of program".

    thats it.
    then click on ok options.

    after that,text files in your pc will open with Notepad as default .

    Hello Friend..

    it is too easy to set the Notepad as Default text editor. Follow these steps to set the Notepad as Default text editor..

    Right Click the any text file then click the Open with option..

    Then select the Choose program, Then open the new window, here you select the Notepad as default text editor..

    Then click ok button..

    Finally you have set the Notepad default editor...

    Hello,

    First Click start and then type "Default Program" in search box.

    Now Open default program.

    Select "associate a file or protocol with a program".

    Now find ".txt" extension from the list and click "change program" from the top right corner.

    Choose notepad and click OK.

    Now Restart your PC.

    To do this follow these simple steps.

    First you have to right click on the .txt file and then select open with after that you can see the window.

    in that window select the notepad and also click on the " always use the selected program to open this kind of file ".
    and then click on OK then your problem will be solve.

    I have the solution for your problem just do as i say.......

    1.Firstly go to the start menu.

    2.Later you go to the 'My Computer'.

    3.Then you go to the place where the document files are present.

    4.Make a right click on any one of those.

    5.Now click on the option 'Properties'.

    6.Now a new window will open.

    7.There you click on the option 'Change'.

    8.Then you select 'Notepad' and click 'Apply'.

    9.Now you have setted the notepad as a default text editor.

    To set Notepad as default tex teditor in Dell notebook with Windows 7 OS, follow below steps-
    • Move to any text file on your device and right click on it.
    • Now click on the OPEN WITH tab.
    • At this step, hit on the Choose default Program.
    • After it a new window will open, in it select the notepad option from the list.
    • Click on OK in order to Save the changes made.

    5 Simple Steps to Make Notepad as Default Text Editor

    1 Choose a text file located on your local disk and right-click it. Once you do, you will see the option to Choose Program…

    Follow these steps to make notepad your default text editor.

    ====>Open folder where one of the text file store.
    ====>Right click on that text file.
    ====>Select Open with option.
    ====>After selecting you will get the applications to which file can open.
    ====>Now click on Choose default program.
    ====>Under the opened dialog box select Notepad.
    ====>To confirm click on OK button.
    ====>After doing so your default text editor will change.

    steps to set your notepad as a default text editor,
    do follow the steps given below :-

    1. select any text file,which is previously created.
    2.right click on it.
    3. select properties.
    4.go to general tab
    5. select change option.
    6. now select notepad as a default program to open it.

    click ko > than apply

    your notepad has been set to default text editor.

    Hi dear friend.............to set the Notepad as default text editor .......follow these

    first press windows key+r and type inetcpl.cpl then press ENTER key

    now tap on the programs TAB

    after that click on SET PROGRAMS button

    then click on associate a file type or a protocol with a program option

    after that a window will be opened ........in that window select .txt

    now click the Change program button at the top of window ..........and select the Notepad from the list

    then click OK
