How to turn the Adaptive brightness ON or OFF in the Windows 8?

My computer is having Windows 8 as the operating system. The Adaptive brightness system in it tries to adjust the brightness of the screen to match the ambient light of the surrounding. It is frustrating me when it provides a dark screen. How can turn off this and adjust the brightness manually?

Many moderncomputer and laptop displays have the light sensor installed in it to adjustthe brightness to match the surrounding conditions. If you want to adjust itmanually it is possible through the following steps. Go to the charm bar inyour desktop and choose settings. Choose control panel from the settings bar. Moveto the search bar option and locate ‘Power Options’. Under the options given, you can choose apower plan option. And then click on it to continue. This willallow you to choose your current power plan and thenchoose the appropriate plan from the Change plan settings link. Then dive in tothe change advanced power settings option to navigate to the tweak options. TheEnable adaptive brightness option is listed under the option Display and set itssetting as ON or OFF as you wish.

    Hello friend...

One of the biggest complaints with windows 8 laptops and tablets in the os's attempt to adjust the brightness of the screen to match the ambient light.

In theory, adaptive brightness should save battery; However, often it just provides a frustratingly dark screen.

    step 1:
Go to your desktop, move your mouse over the hot corner to access the charms bar, and choose settings from there.

    step 2:
In the settings bar choose control panel at the top.

    step 3:
The control panel windows will appear on the screen, now locate the windows search bar and type in power options to narrow down the settings.Under power options you will find the choose a power plan option. click on it to continue.

    step 4:
Choose your current power plan in the window and then hit the appropriate change plan settings link.

    step 5:
In this step find the change advanced power settings option at the bottom of the window to dive into the more advanced configuration.

    step 6:
The advanced power settings window contains many tweakable options. The one we need is locate under display -> enable adaptive brightness.
set its setting to on, instead of off.

    step 7:
When you are done, hit the ok button to save the setting.

    Hope this may help you...
