How to Unlock the Locked Drive if Not getting any Space to Enter Password to Unlock

I had locked some drives using Bit Locker software in my computer. It asks you to enter password in order to unlock the drive or folder but now a days it is behaving differently due to which I am not able to open my drives now. Actually it is not displaying any space to enter the password. When you right click on any drive, it shows you an option to unlock but if you will press that option nothing happens. Is there any one who can help me to solve this issue.

    Hello,

I know exactly what you are going through because a few months i had the same kind of experience with the folder lock software.

What best you can do is uninstall the software properly and try recover your files.

If you want to access the files you can simply access it from the address bar given on the top of the screen.

There maybe is a possibility that your files are deleted .

In that case try searching the files through the windows search and if you cant find it than you will have to recover it form the software recovery tool.

So, uninstall the application , try searching your data. if deleted recover it.

    Regards

Re: How to Unlock the Locked Drive if Not getting any Space to Enter Password to Unlock

    Hi,
A serious situation has been created for you because of this bitlocker software, and i`m trying to assist you if it works.
To unlock a locked drive do the following, and try to stop bitlocker from acting as may be it is not working fine and can cause lots of problems.

    1. Open an elevated cmd prompt.
    2. Type manage-bde Drive: -status and look under "Key Protectors" to ensure that "Password" appears.
    3. Type manage-bde Drive: -unlock -pw and type your password so that the drive can be unlocked.

    In case this process fails,
I will suggest you to try unlocking the drive on another machine in case there is somekind of hardware problem on your computer.
    Hope that will do.
    Thank you.
