Yes, you can extend your Windows laptop with the external monitor which can be carried out in three different ways i.e

You can duplicate your laptop screen to monitor.
You can extend your laptop screen to monitor.
You can use only monitor without the laptop screen.

Now to do either of the above three, you have to follow the simple steps given below.

STEP 1: Connect your external monitor 15 pin cable to your laptop which will be present in blue color.
STEP 2: Once it is done some of the laptops will automatically detects the the external monitor and goes for the default option. If not follow step 3.
STEP 3: Go to your system Windows desktop -> Right Click -> Select Graphic Properties -> Output to -> Monitor + Laptop and the options which you need.
STEP 4: Now there is a shortcut to do this from your laptop too, which will be present in one of your functions keys which consists of the icon of a screen and laptop. Simply press function key (which use to near your windows key in keyboard ) and the specific F1-F12 function in key in the top of your keyboard.

In this way you can extend your laptop with your Monitor.

Now it is possible to connect with more than one monitor but for that you need a extra hardware which is the Monitor cable splitter which looks like a junctions box with the monitor 15 pin outputs you simply have to connect the in to your laptop and connect as many monitors you want from the monitor extension box.

    Hello,

It is easy to connect your laptop to your monitor.
    Buy an HDMI cable.
Plug it in the HDMI socket present on your laptop.
Plug the USB part in the monitor.
Now you can use it to use your laptop on monitor.
The same procedure can be repeated to do it for connecting Laptop and LCD or LED Television.

There are splitters that are available in market you can use to have multiple monitors.
Connect the splitters one end(Usually HDMI) to your laptop and other two ends in the other two monitor or TV(USB).
you can have two screens but you can operate on any one.
But using the multitasking in windows you can integrate the two monitors into one. one screen yo see movie on other you can work.
For using this feature you need connectors.

    Hi Friend ,

To connect a monitor to your laptop follow these steps

    > Connect the connector to the blue socket provided in your laptop

    > When it will detect monitor press "Windows key + 'P' "

    You will get four options

    - Computer only ( For display in your laptop only)
    - Duplicate ( It will show same display in monitor as in laptop)
    - Extend ( It will extend the display)
    - Projector only ( For display in external computer only)

    > Click on your desired option

Now your monitor is connected to your lpatop

    dear friend,

Its possible & easy to connect your Monitor to the laptop.

Provide the power supply to the Monitor & the Laptop.

Connect the monitor to the laptop using 15 cable pins.

Now go to the control panel in your laptop.

Navigate to the Appearance & Personalize > Display > Adjust Screen Resolution.

Click on the detect option-wait for some time & the second monitor will appear.

Now change the Display, Resolution & the orientation & click on OK.

You can change your setting in three ways-

    1. You can use the monitor as the primary display hardware. In that case, the laptop screen will appear in black color.

    2. You can extend the display of the laptop screen to the monitor. So you can drag items from one monitor to the other.

    3. You can duplicate the display of your laptop. In that case, you'll get the duplicate image of the laptop screen on your Monitor.

Hope now you can connect a Monitor to your laptop.
