    Internet Explorer not able to access any website after having Broadband network connection

    Hi, i am trying to access many websites through IE on windows xp, but everytime it says that cannot connect. I am having active broadband connection but IE not working. What could be the issue? Is there anyone having clue to this issue? Help!!

    Following are the possible reasons for not functioning of the ie

    1.Incorrect settings in the lan properties

    To correct your properties follow these steps

    2.go to control panel AND double click internet options
    3.click on the connections tab
    4.now click on lan settings
    5.check automatically detect settings
    6.uncheck any other option like proxy server
    7.press ok
    8.your i.e should work
    9.if the problem still persists check using some other web browser like google chrome
