    Issue with opening add or remove programs under control panel on Windows XP

    If trying to open Add or remove programs option in control panel then system prompts me a message that Setup library comsetup.dll could not be loaded. What does it mean? Why i am getting this message on windows XP. Any help!!

    Hey you are getting this message because the file "comsetuo.dll" is currupted due to any malware or virus in your computer.

    You can either download it from the windows official site and replce that ".dll" file from the original folder, this will help you to sort out your problem.

    OR

    You can reinstall the windows xp on your computer by the help of windows disk.

    Hi friend,
    This error occurs if the file comsetup.dll is missing from the location C:\Windows\system32\setup folder

    To solve this problem, the Dllcache folder maintains a copy of comsetup.dll file...This file is located at C:\Windows\system32\dllcache...So copy the file to C:\Windows\System32\setup

    Instructions

    1. Click "Start" then "Run"



    2. Type "regsvr32 Appwiz.cpl" and click "Enter." Click "OK" on the "RegSvr32" dialog box.


    3. Type "regsvr32 mshtml.dll" and click "Enter." Click "OK" on the "RegSvr32" dialog box.


    4. Type "regsvr32 shdocvw.dll -i" and click "Enter." Click "OK" on the "RegSvr32" dialog box.


    5. Type "regsvr32 shell32.dll -i" and click "Enter." Click "OK" on the "RegSvr32" dialog box.


    6. Reboot the computer and access the add/remove programs utility, which should now work properly

    Hey friend,
    your problem is not big .
    you can go with the other way to delete the pogramme.
    Just try to it.
    go in c drive there you can go in programme file.
    there you have to choose the programme folder what you really want to uninstall.
    Then go in the folder and there you can see the uninstall file .
    Click on it and the uninstall the programme.
    It will helpful for you.

    Hi dear friend.....

    To resolve this issue......Run the PC in Clean boot Mode..... that is ...by following the below instructions

    press windows key+R and type msconfig and press ENTER key

    then tap on GENERAL tab.....and choose SELECTIVE start up option ... under the check Original boot option

    after that tap on SERVICES tab......and check Hide all microsoft services...box....and click Disable all button .

    now tap on Startup tab....and click Disable all button .....then restart the PC

    and after the login..... try to access the add remove programs option

    and don't forget it to... run PC in normal mode... after the checking...........and if the same problem exits ... in cleanboot also

    Simply Restore the PC by using the System restore option

    after that your problem will be resolved

    Hello friend,


    I have the solution for your problem just do as i say................

    1.This was the problem of the OS files.

    2.So you insert the Windows OS CD in your system.

    3.After that restart your system.

    4.While starting press any key and it will take you to the installation wizard.

    5.And then you press the key 'R' to start repair.

    6.After repair is completed then you can open Add or remove Programs without any problem.

    If you need to open add or remove for uninstall a specific program the following instruction will helping you to do this,

    Uninstall a program from windows computer using Tool such as Your Uninstaller software.

    Download and Install the latest version of Your Uninstaller software ..

    then select the program that you want to uninstall

    then click on uninstall program button .

    this will remove all program file related to the application which you need to uninstall.

    this will remove also the related registry file also by using Your Uninstaller
