Issues with Internet Explorer 8 installed on Windows XP

My laptop is currently running on Windows XP and I have installed Internet Explorer 8 into it. Even though it gets downloaded successfully, the app tends to crash constantly on my system. It will show blank window while opening an image. I am not able to uninstall the application from the system to install it again. I will get an error message saying “babylon.exe can't be uninstalled” on uninstalling the application. Is there any solution available to solve this problem?

Re: Issues with Internet Explorer 8 installed on Windows XP

    Hi,

There are a number of issues involved with your system.

A successfull prograssion from Windows XP to WIndows 8, is a joy, but only when the installation is complete and there was no issues with the older version.

Windows 8 is a powerfull Operating System with all features and options available around.

Babylon search engine is a sticky installation, which takes a lot of effort to remove. Though almost every edit is possible, but considering the complexity and expecting some more issues to pop up in future, my suggestion is to Install Windows 8 afresh.
Backup all files / data and format the drive. Collect all programs installer software to install after Windows 8 Installation. Install Windows8 and that will solve your issue.
So my suggesion is to Clean Install insted of Upgradation, if you are having the Windows8 installer DVD with you.

    Thanks.

    Hello !!!

it seems that your internet explorer has too many integration with different applications due to which it goes frequent crashing.
also, you are not able to uninstall the babylon toolbar because it always remain in use by your internet explorer.
so, it will be get uninstalled only when you quit the babylon toolbar.

so, first of all close or remove all the useless integration of the application with your internet explorer.
    now go to program features
there select the babylon toolbar option and uninstall it.
but before uninstalling dont forget to stop the babylon service. ok ??

hope i am clear to you.
    thanks for posting in EALP.

    hello friend,
this is not the major problem.after installing the internet explorer 8 you have to go to its options menu ad there you find the application setting.click on it.
then the computer asks you the permission to run that soft ware on your system.then you tap the optipon "yes".the process takes about an hour.after that you can directly open it.in case if any of the program files in your ap is deleed unknowingly(even in small size) total application wil not work.so you uninstall the program and reinstall it again.then it will work properly.

    Hello friend..

I think your computer may be virus effective When you install the IE8 there also come virus so your computer became a corrupted. you need to scan the full computer, if any virus in your computer they remove it..

you also do the System restore the computer from the dated when you install the IE8 in the computer.

To remove the babylon.exe go to the safe mode then try to remove it now it working..

    all the best!!
