As far as your problem is concerned, the major cause can be due to hardware failure or device driver issue. Before Playing with settings of your computer, try to connect a different keyboard and check whether it works or not. If it fails again then uninstall your keyboard drivers. To do the same click on "Start" button and in search bar type "device manager" and press the enter key. Now select the "Keyboard" and expand it. After that right click on "Keyboard" driver and uninstall it. After that reinstall the same again and restart your computer. It will definitely fix your issue.

    Hello friend,

I have the solution for your problem just do as i say................

1.Firstly you check your keyboard is working fine or not.

2.then only you check that your keyboard cable is fine.

3.If you do not have the problem with the above two cases then the problem may be with your OS.

4.While installing Windows 7 some files related to keyboard may not be installed in your computer.

5.So you try to repair the keyboard files.

You try to update the Keyboard drivers you can do it by following the below steps.

1.You make a right click on 'My Computer'.

2.Then you click on the option 'Manage'.

3.There you click on the 'Device manager' tab.

4.Then you click on the option 'Keyboard'.

    5.Then open it's 'Properties'.

6.There you go to the 'Driver' tab and click on 'Update Driver'.

That's it by doing as i said you can solve your problem.

    Have a nice day.............

Re: Keyboard not working properly in windows 7

    Hi,

There can be several reasons for the Keyboard malfunction :

    1. The Keyboard can be damaged physically.
    2. The Device Driver For Keyboard may be corrupt or deleted .
    3. the connecting cable, the wireless command center can be damaged.
    4. There can be Virus Infection which is crippling the functioning of the keyboard.

From all the possibilities, Virus Scanning and cleaning should be done first.
Check the cable and connectors. check the Keyboard, if found any fault, either service or replace.
Install device driver again, Control Panel>Hardware and Sound>Device Manager>Keyboard>installed keyboard, Uninstall, then Update Driver, is the process.

    Thanks.

While uninstalling the device from the device manager make sure you follow the steps below:

    1. Click on Start.
    2. Access Control Panel > System > Hardware > Device Manager.
    3. Open Device Manager and expand Keyboard.
    4. Select the Microsoft Keyboard and uninstall the device.
Also later reinstall the 64 bit drivers for the keyboard and check if it helps you fix the issue.
