Low FPS in games after upgrading to Windows 8 Pro

I used to play games like Minecraft, League of Legends and Steam games in my PC which ran on Windows 7. Recently I upgraded the OS to Windows 8 Professional. Since then, I started noticing gaming issues in my PC such as the FPS rate going down to 1 for every game. I installed the latest graphics drivers as well. Is it possible to fix this problem for good?

Before upgrading to Windows 8 pro, you should have analysed your system configuration whether it is enough for Windows 8 or not.

The system requirements for Windows 8:

    1. Processor: 1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster with support for PAE, NX, and SSE2
    2. RAM: 1 gigabyte (GB) (32-bit) or 2 GB (64-bit)
    3. Hard disk space: 16 GB (32-bit) or 20 GB (64-bit)
    4. Graphics card: Microsoft DirectX 9 graphics device.

I suggest you to either downgrade your system to Windows 7 back or upgrade your graphic card to the latest one to increase system graphic properties.

If you still to go up with Windows 8 pro, disable unnecessary Windows graphic intensive applications: Go to Control Panel > System > Advanced system settings > Advanced > Performance ‘settings’. Check the radio button against ‘adjust for best performance’. Click OK.
