    Menu bar is missing in IE of Windows XP

    Not able to see menu bar in Internet Explorer of Windows XP. I scanned the entire system to remove the spyware and the problem is still going on. What might be the problem? Please, help me in this issue.

    Solution:

    Close Internet Explorer and Windows Explorer Windows.
    Start >> Run
    Type regedit and hit Enter.
    Find HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer Toolbar\ShellBrowser and click it.
    Find ItBarLayout Value right click on it.
    Select Delete.
    Exit the registry editor.
    Your problem is solved.

    1. Close all open Internet Explorer and Windows Explorer windows.
    2. Open Register Editor.
      • For Windows Vista and Windows 7, Click Start, type regedit in Search programs and files box, and then clickregedit.exe in Programs.
      • Form Windows XP, Click Start, and then click Run , and then In the Open box, type regedit, and then click OK.
    3. Locate and then click the following registry subkey: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbar
    4. Use one or both of the following steps, as appropriate for your situation:
      • For Windows Explorer: In the details pane, locate the Explorer subkey, and then open it. In the details pane, locate the ITBarLayout value. Right-click this value, and then click Delete.
      • For Internet Explorer: In the details pane, locate the WebBrowser subkey, and then open it. In the details pane, locate the ITBarLayout value. Right-click this value, and then click Delete.
    5. On the File menu, click Exit to exit Registry Editor.
    If the problem is not fixed, you can try the following:
    1. Close all open Internet Explorer and Windows Explorer windows.
    2. Click Start, and then click Run.
    3. In the Open box, type regedit, and then click OK.
    4. Locate and then click the following registry subkey:HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbar\ShellBrowser
    5. In the details pane, locate the ITBarLayout value. Right-click this value, and then click Delete.
    6. On the File menu, click Exit to exit Registry Editor.
    or
    1. Open Windows Explorer.
    2. Right-click a blank area of the toolbar or the menu bar
    3. Click the Address Bar item.

    Hi,

    To activate Menu Bar in Internet Explorer, do the following :

    Click Start > Run > message box, type regedit > OK.
    Locate and click the following registry subkey:HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbar\ShellBrowser
    In the details pane, find ITBarLayout value. Right-click on this value, click Delete.
    On File menu, click Exit to exit Registry Editor.

    Reboot and try again.
