    Messenger Side by Side configuration in Windows Live

    Last day when I tried to open Windows Live messenger, I received an error message regarding the side by side configuration. I installed all patches and restored the system. Even after the problem persists and showing the same message again. What should be done in such a situation?

    Re: Messenger Side by Side configuration in Windows Live

    Just follow down the following procedures your messenger should work fine:
    <1> Perform Windows update....then restart your system
    <2>uninstall windows live essential from your system
    <3>delete WINDOWS LIVE folders found in the following directories
    C:\Program Files\Windows Live
    C:\Program Files\Common Files\Windows Live
    Note: If there is more than one Program Files folder upon opening C drive, then double click on Program Files x86 instead.
    <4>uninstall Microsoft Visual C++
    <5>Now reinstall Microsoft Visual C++ packages in the following order
    Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable Package (x86)
    Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 SP1 Redistributable Package (x86)
    Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package (x86)
    Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable Package (x86)
    Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package (x86)
    <vi>reboot again and reinstall Windows Live Essentials
    <vii>run windows update again ....after that reboot your pc
    <viii>Now instsll the Microsoft .Net FrameWork 4.0
