Mouse and Keyboard won’t work after installing windows 8?

Few weeks ago I tried to install windows 8 in my computer. For this purpose, I downloaded ISO file of windows 8 from the official website and burnt it into a DVD. I started the installation process which completed without any issue but after installation of windows 8, my Keyboard and Mouse failed to work. I tried every possibility but failed so I again installed windows xp. I was surprised to see that my mouse and keyboard was working fine.

This type of problem occurs due to installation of Operating system against the minimum hardware and system requirement. So please check your hardware requirement and analyze whether it is according to the following specifications:
    • Processor- 1GHz
    • RAM - 1GB for 32-bit and 2GB for 64-bit
    • Storage Space- 16 GB for 32-bit and 20 GB for 64-bit
    • Graphics Card - Directx 9 with WDDM 1.0 or Higher

If your computer fulfills all the above requirements then the problem can occur due to any connection so make sure that connecting cable of keyboard and Mouse is attached to the CPU.

I think your problem is hardware related .
You should check your keyboard and mouse.
and check the setup of keyboard and mouse are installed in your PC.
If not then install setup and use your keyboard and mouse.

    dear friend,

have you installed windows 8 correctly.

there must be some installation problem.

    Dear,

If you are using PS2 type mouse and keyboard, then you need to install drivers for their proper functioning. Get the latest drivers compatible with Windows 8.
To do this, you can use USB type mouse and keyboard temporarily.

USB type keyboard and mouse have great plug and play support. They work without any problem. Configure the BIOS setting for USB device option enabled.
You can also permanently switch to USB keyboard and mouse.

    Thanks!

This type of issue comes about as a result of installation of Computer resistant to the bare minimum components plus method requirement. And so please look at your components prerequisite plus analyze whether it be based on the adhering to features:
    Processor- 1GHz
    RAM - 1GB to get 32-bit plus 2GB to get 64-bit
Storage area Space- 16 GB to get 32-bit plus 20 GB to get 64-bit
Illustrations or photos Cards - Directx 9 by using WDDM 1.0 or Greater

If the pc fulfills all the earlier mentioned requirements then the issue will appear as a result of any kind of connection therefore be certain that linking cable tv connected with pc style keyboard plus Sensitive mouse can be connected to the CPU.

Re: Mouse and Keyboard won’t work after installing windows 8?

What you have already experienced was not expected, but there might have reasons for what happend.

Does your computer have eligibility to install Windows 8 ? Have you verified it ?
The requirements for installing Windows 8 are as follows :
    Processor- 1GHZ, With PAE,NX and SSE2 ,
    RAM - 1GB for 32-bit and 2GB for 64-bit
Storage Space- 16 GB for 32-bit and 20 GB for 64-bit
Graphics Card - Directx 9 with WDDM 1.0 or Higher Installed.
If You have all of them in your computer, go for a fresh Windows 8 installation,
Chances are this time it will be a complete installation. But if there comes the trouble again in Mouse and Keyboard,
    Here's how to fix it.

Click Start--Control Panel--Device Manager--Mice....--Driver--Uninstall, and remove the existing.
If you have a mouse driver CD which has windows 8 compatible driver, install that,
Or click from the same menu where you had uninstalled the driver, UPDATE DRIVER, search the generic Windows 8 driver for Mouse from Microsoft and install.
Similarly uninstall Driver for Keyboard, Either install driver from CD if it is windows 8 compatible, or UPDATE DRIVER and install from Microsoft.

    Reboot and that's it.
