Network map shows unknown devices while connecting netbook running on Windows 7 with wireless network

When I try to connect my netbook running on Windows 7 with the wireless network, I can view a big question mark on network map shown on the screen. It seems that there is an unknown device between the router and netbook. In what way can I remove this question mark from the map?

Uninstall the most updated drivers for the network adapter on your system and install it again. Bring up the device manager by typing devmgmt.msc into the search box in start menu after clicking on the ‘Start’ button and pressing the ‘OK’ button. Right click on the network adapter visible on the list and click the ‘Uninstall’ button. You can then re-install the latest drivers for network adapters from the computer manufacturer’s website. If this does not work, then reset Transmission Control Protocol / Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) by performing the following steps.
    • Click ‘Start’ button and select ‘Run’ from the start menu
    • Type cmd into ‘Open’ field and press the ‘Enter’ key
    • Enter netsh int ip reset c:\resetlog.txt into the command prompt and hit the ‘Enter’ key
    • Enter netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt into command prompt in case you don’t a specific directory path and press the ‘Enter’ key
    • Restart the PC
Another solution available to fix up this issue is to modify registry key on your PC. Open the ‘Registry Editor’ for that by typing regedit into the start search box after pressing the ‘Start’ button and pressing the ‘Enter’ key. Provide the administrator password or click continue button while you get a prompt message. Then, click the GUID key under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\Tcpip\Parameters\Interfaces and choose the DWORD value after pointing to New in Edit menu. Enter DhcpConnEnableBcastFlagToggle into Value #1 box and hit the ‘Enter’ key. After that, right click on DhcpConnEnableBcastFlagToggle and select ‘Modify’ option. Type 1 into value data box and press the ‘OK’ button. Quit the Registry Editor afterwards and see whether the issue gets resolved or not.

friend not to worry it is not a problem

if you are accessing router through some access point
then the unknown device is you access point

sometimes it show ? sign when there is problem in network connection
sometimes it shows cross sign when the network is not present
straight line shows no problem in connection
(i have experienced above in my college)
