    Hi,

Two things can create such a situation in your computer.

    1. The Driver for Audio.

    2. The Sound Card itself can get damaged.

If the audio driver is defective, do this,

    START>CONTROL PANEL>HARDWARE AND SOUND>DEVICE MANAGER>installed devices, select audio device>DRIVER>UNINSTALL to remove old driver, then>UPDATE DRIVER .

Or if you have a driver cd you can load the specific Audio Driver from there too.

If this fails to solve your problem unmount the Audio card then remount again and this should be done by a qualified hardware engineer and he can suggest if the card need a change.

    Thanks.

    Hello,

you have to update your sound card driver but may be there is a chance that your sound card got damaged. but first you need to confirm that this is a issue with software not hardware.

so just go to device manager and expand the sound video and game controllers pane.

now right click on the sound device and select update driver software.

after that a popup screen will appear click search automatically for updated driver software.

    NOTE :-
you Need internet connection for update your driver.

second option is to just reinstall the sound device software or if not installed then go to the manufacturer website to download it from there.
