    Regarding this problem...

better, you can install MOTHER BOARD \ DRIVER CD in your system..
it surely help to play audio and video fine..

once you can uninstall your installed player..
choose supported with latest version VLC MEDIA PLAYER.
    and install your system..
after try to play any audio, video...

better, you can choose the audio files,,

Re: Unable to play Audio files in Windows XP

    Hello Friend,

Well, it seems to me either your Audio Driver is corrupted or some files are missing from it. This prevents your Operating system to play any audio in windows xp. To sort out the issue you should first uninstall the audio driver from your system and to do that go to start menu, then control panel. From there go to Add/Remove Program and from the list select audio driver and click Remove button. This will remove your audio driver from your PC. Now, insert the mother board CD to your DVD drive and install the audio driver to your drive of choice (C or D drive). Now, play any audio files and this time it will play.
